Wine, history and territory, all lead to just one passion: this is Lungarotti!
The founder, Giorgio Lungarotti, was a pioneer of modern Italian enology and he put Umbria on the world wine map already in the ‘60’s. Today his daughters Chiara Lungarotti and Teresa Severini, proud of their roots, run the 250 hectares of vineyards in Torgiano, 20 in Montefalco and a winery in which the most up-to-date technologies enhance the long family tradition.
The products, from the world-renowned Rubesco – using the native reds Sangiovese and Canaiolo - and the other wines that are the fruit of indigenous or international varieties, to the excellent extra virgin olive oil, are present in 41 markets around the globe as the maximum expression of their beloved land, Umbria. The dedication of the Lungarotti family has created in Torgiano - a quaint village between Perugia and Assisi in the heart of Italy - a unique productive, cultural and tourist system of extraordinary quality that unites fine wines, art, culture and hospitality, through two world-class Museums dedicated to Wine and to Olive Oil, the five-star relais Le Tre Vaselle and the country residence Poggio alle Vigne. The Museums are run by the Lungarotti Foundation, directed by Maria Grazia Lungarotti, mother of Teresa and Chiara. The Group’s various companies and cultural venues build brand loyalty with the consumer, providing and promoting the wines as strongly bound to the Umbrian region and alluring complements to fine living. Such a strong commitment of the entire family guarantees the premium quality, and a contemporaneity that transcends passing trends, of the Lungarotti brand. |
