Grandi Marchi in Japan and Korea
Tokyo, 24th -25th November
The Institute of Fine Italian Wine – Premium Brands (Grandi Marchi) will be arriving in Tokyo with 14 of its member wineries for a special event to be hosted at the Italian Embassy on 24th November. The event will see Mr Piero Mastrobarardino addressing the audience of 50 press and trade in a discussion examining the importance of the family business in as a key to success in the wine business. The discussion will then be followed by a guided tasting of 1 iconic wine from each winery presented by the winery representatives themselves.
The evening will finish with a cocktail reception open to 100 VIPs guests.
On 25th November the Grandi Marchi will then move their attention to Vinitaly Japan where they will join another 30 wineries from Italy for the walk around tasting to be held at the New Otani hotel.
Seoul, 26th -27th November
The institute of Italian Italian Wine – Premium Brands (Grandi Marchi) will then travel to Seoul on 26th November for a seminar to be held at the Banyan Tree. The event will see 1 wine from each winery presented by the Institute of Masters of Wine’s most recent associate, Norweggian wine expert Mai Tjemsland. This event marks the start of a collaboration with the IMW which will see MWs presenting the Grandi Marchi wines during their international events.
Following the seminar, the member wineries will host a cocktail evening reception including live music and a lucky draw. Entrance upon invitation only.
On 27th November, the Grandi Marchi will once again join Vinitaly in their debut event in Seoul – Vinitaly Korea to be held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul hotel. Visitors to the Vinitaly Korea event will have the opportunity to sample a range of wines presented by the participating member wineries.
